Why is it always dark?

Or did I miss any episodes when they had dinner on a summer's Friday night? (I haven't seen them all). The weather never seems particularly wintry.

That's true about the coats, now that you mention it. I can empathise with Father, I'm always discarding clothing as well.

The Christmas special is set during the day.

And so's the last episode of series 3, but I too noticed that most episodes are always set during the dark.

It's called Friday Night Dinner, there's a clue in there somewhere...

Thank you Shona. I have managed to pick myself up off the floor after reeling from the savage blow of your sarcasm. Could I ask you to read my post again? I mention "wintry weather" and "summer" - there's, heh heh, a clue in there somewhere. I don't know about Lapland, where you live, but here in the UK in the evenings (or "dinner time") it can be quite light sometimes. I wondered why we never saw either (a) daylight or (b) bad weather.
