Thanks DDPhilly and I am glad I DIDN'T listen to the haters. I am a big horror movie fan and I watch all kinds, some good, some mediocre, and some terrible. The truth is everyone has an opinion and one person's cup of tea may not be anothers. I can't tell you the times that I have read or heard that a movie sucks and I watch it and it really is not that bad. In addition, people can like different things.

You're are correct. A critique is not being a hater. Being a hater is not really reviewing a film in a mature way, but using a public forum to hurl a bunch of insults at the movie, the cast and crew.
"This sucks" or "Don't bother" is not a critique.
"I didn't care for this film because I felt the editing, acting, etc. was not done well" and following up with examples is.
"Whether you like or dislike something, do it with respect and don't be a troll!"
