I was born in 91 but im assuming this season will pay homage to 80s horror that said

notable horror films that hit theatres in 1984
Gremlins - not full horror it also has comedic tones ( id be surprised if we saw a gremlins homage in this)
Friday the 13th The Final Chapter - id say a F13 homage is a given considering it looks like this season will be taking a place at a summer camp
A Nightmare ON Elm Street - again looks like slashers will be the main theme i'd be shocked if we didn't see a freddy homage

yeah but its titled 1984 and is set in the 80s so im assuming it'll be paying homage to 80s horror in general

I'm sure the name is no accident and it will try to be an Orwellian slasher but then change plots after 3 episodes and just become a mess.
