Episode 6 edited mass shooting sene

Episode 6 of AHS Cult was edited at the last minute because of the Las Vegas shooting. They didn't take the whole shooting scene out, they just shortened it slightly. The original version is on the FX site, did anyone else watch both versions?

So Meadow was the actual shooter and shot herself but Allie took the gun away and when the cops come in they think Allie is the shooter. Supposedly no witnesses to what really happened because everyone ran away?
What I find hard to believe in this day and age , is that there would not be any video of the shooting and who had the gun first. I mean in the Las Vegas shooting there were many amateur videos because everyone films concerts and parades and sports games, etc. They would all be videoing Kai's speech before the shooting.

There's at least one video from the camera of the news reporter. Whether that gets out, who knows?

But I find it hard to believe that they clearly see Meadow committed suicide and still think Ally is the murderer of everyone.

The news reporter is in the cult too (although maybe not the cameraman) but they both ran away and maybe they took the camera with them?
Kai never told the rest of the cult about this staged shooting, because he wanted their reactions to be genuine. Only he and meadow knew about the plan and meadow is dead. Kai will testify that Allie shot him, no doubt.
But Ivy was hiding behind the fountain and I have to hope she might have peeked out and seen meadow with the gun. Will she tell the truth? Will she see the light and turn on Kai when she realizes he staged the whole thing and put her life at risk?

Meadow's prints will be all over the gun as well as gunpowder residue. There might be some traffic cameras or something that caught meadow with the gun in her hand.

The camera remained, as you can see it while everyone was lying down or running away. But whether it was still running or if the reporter lady will confiscate it, who knows? But the poster below is right about the gun powder. But if one cop is in the cult, who knows how many more are secretly part of the cult, and will tamper with evidence.

I kept thinking the whole time that there would have to be security cameras somewhere that the police could obtain footage from. Years ago, I read a statistic that said that the average person is filmed about 25 times a day by security cameras, traffic cameras, etc.

I was wondering how much was "edited" out - I expected a lot more to be cut out. Is it worth it to watch that version?

reply

The additional shots don't really add that much and they were not much different than the shots they did keep.
