Concerning the twist.... (spoilers from season5)

I'm really not trying to play into this whole "chapter 6 game changer" twist that Ryan promises, merely because last season it was suppose to be a twist that John was the 10 commandments killer when that was the laziest, most outdated twist in television and/or movie history. There have been a lot of theories floating around on this board about what the twist will be and the main one I've heard is that the investigatory show premise will drop or Billie Dean is involved. Whatever the case may be, I just hope to God that it's not as lackadaisical as Hotel's "twist".

I get the feeling that it wont be, and will be better written just based off of how this season's writing compares , but theres still a part of me that refuses to cream my panties over this twist.

Someone posted a snippet from an interview with Wes Bentley where he stated that he didn't believe it was supposed to be a twist that John was the 10CK.

But I think in the end, I can’t speak for the writers, but I don’t think it was ever intended to fully be a super surprising reveal. I think there always was sort of a slow sort of terrible feeling, that, “Oh god, it could be John.” Kind of like “The Shining,” like it does where you know Jack Nicholson’s character is falling apart and you’re sort of terrified of seeing it happen. I think that was closer to the idea of what we were doing, rather than, a “Usual Suspects”-type of ending.

Whatever "twist" happens is likely to have been done already in some work of horror, but hopefully it's done in a way that fits and is unique to AHS.

I'll just finish this and then we're all off to heaven. All right?
