I feel a case of the dreaded man flu coming on so I decided to prepare chicken coup - NO NOT COUP...SOUP! for the soul for tonight's dinner. Just something simple rather than my usual asian inspired gor met sht. A whole organic chook - just a little one. Celery, thinly sliced. Whole head of garlic. Home made chook stock. One brown onion, finely diced. And the season?
Cracked black pepper and himalayan pink salt.
Served with the juice of fresh limes from my garden, freshly grated parmesan, and finely sliced parsley.
Hhhmmmm Hhmmmm Hhmmmm.

Fact:
Before my current boyfriend taught me my way around a kitchen, I accidentally put a head of garlic in some pasta that only called for a clove because I didn't know the difference between the two.

Oh it's a different flavour when you throw the whole head into a slow cooked dish. Then you remove it. I love garlic but a whole head in a pasta dish would probably make me cry for a week. Poor bear.
