Cree and Aden :

Cree got so big. And Adam is so cute. I hope he keeps those blue eyes.

Aden is adorable. So wide-eyed, happy, and curious. Seems like such a content baby.

Tia is babying Cree which will hinder his already slow development. She's constantly carrying him (especially when Tamera is around carrying Aden ...whether it's on the show or in TV interviews/photo shoots).

She's giving him drinks out of a bottle!!!! Also, Cree is not speaking well nor enough -- and he's still mostly disaffected and unconcerned with life around him. C'mon Tia you need to get a development specialist and discuss these things.

The vast contrast between Aden as a baby and Cree as a baby is already obvious and differences will get stronger as they age.

reply

@syn: Yes very good point. I realize that Cree is slow and Tia isn't helping it. She needs to be firm and take a stand. Giving him a bottle at 2 ?! Someone has lost their mind. Wendy or the actress who played her mom on Sis Sis needs to talk to her.

reply

Cree is only 2 for crying out loud he still learning to speak. Just because he's not speaking much doesn't mean he's slow.

We don't know anything about Cree but what is shown on TV. Isn't it sad so many are making arm-chair psychological determinations about a toddler they don't know? I don't see these delays everyone keeps mentioning. I see a toddler that isn't all that comfortable in front of the camera. He's very aware of the extra people (cameramen, etc.) around him. He seems distracted more than detached.

I am not an expert, but I have been around kids with learning disabilities for more than 20 years. I have an daughter who is special needs, and Cree's development so far isn't nearly as delayed as some might think. My daughter didn't speak until she was 3, and she does have delays. Yet, at the same time, I know a boy who barely spoke until he was 4, and he has a very high IQ. He's also very social with a lot of friends. So, while I know the "markers" we normally identify with certain ages can mean a child is delayed developmentally, they don't alway mean the child has or will have issues.

There could be many reasons Cree's unable to speak words or sentences. During the first episode, I was yelling "please stop" while Tamera and Tia were doing that whole baby talk thing. It's annoying, and it makes it harder for kids to learn language. You should always speak to kids using real words.

Oh what an interesting perspective. I imagine a class of non-english speakers whose English teacher throws in a few giggy giggy goos, etc every now and then. LOL!

reply

@rice: I see it in his face though !Its pretty obvious. I mean now he is a verbal so it might fade.

Tia just celebrated Cree's 5th birthday on her cooking show "Tia Mowry at Home."

And sadly Cree is definitely seems to still have developmental problems. Tia bragged that he was so smart but he is still not speaking clearly, hesitates a lot, needs lots of prompting and lacks the fluid speech of other children in his age group and at the party.
