I have a pretty good home theater set up here, and im sorry, but she sounds terrible, or better yet, her backing band sounds terrible, she sounds fine, but yeah, her backing band sounds terrible....

I'm consistently surprised that she gets negative feedback. This woman is a talent supernova. If this HBO special was any indication of what her shows are like, I agree that she more than delivers. She's full of abundant energy, shock value, and clever witicism. What's not to like about her? She also has a great gift of timing...she knows how to hold and suspend her audience, pausing in all the right places and belting out gutteral screams in all the right places. Mix that in with her actual vocal skills,...(while jumping around in heels),... I adore her more and more.

whhatever, the music istelf sounded bad, mayb it was the recording on hbo's part, but there wasnt any bass what so ever and it sounded like crap, but mayb it wasnt her faul

I Do not know about the hbo special, but I saw her live and I PROMISE it was not terrible at all. The bitch burned down the fu cking house.

Burned it down? She made the entire city of Charlotte (where I saw her) explode! I had bad seats, so watching it on HBO completed the visual aspect of the show that I couldn't see at all times. Audio-wise, though, the show is wonderful. She is a beautiful singer, performer, and entertainer who doesn't need to lip-sync to sound good.

I don't think the sound was bad. She is an excellent singer and has a great vocal range and I was very excited to see it. I turned it off after 30 minutes of trying to be interested in it. I was very disappointed in it. I suppose I expect a Madonna style, theatrical show, and I'm not saying that wasn't there but it was just extremely sloppy and seemed thrown together. Didn't like it, and I normally like her live performances.
