A Great Film. This movie delivers on every level with true charisma.

All too infrequently, a much hyped blockbuster hits the mark right on the spot. Captain America The Winter Soldier is such a movie.

It’s the best big budget movie that I’ve seen since Avengers. It hits a high standard of excellence by combining an intriguing plot with breathtaking action sequences.

This movie will surprise a lot of people with its heart while sacrificing none of the thrills. The inner turmoil worked well, the beautiful thing is that we can relate to each character, especially that of Steve Rogers. His never say die attitude and heart of a champion makes this hero more interesting then most. He remains the “good man” his creator instructed him to be in the first film even through the most trying of times.

It’s a movie that lives up to all the hype it has generated.

And here I thought Iron Man or Avengers raised the bar in terms of what we could expect from modern adaptations. While true, what’s remarkable is that Captain America: The Winter Soldier raises the bar on what we can expect from a blockbuster in general. It really is the game changer the critics are claiming it to be. It’s certainly not just eye candy; it’s an all around exceptional movie. Marvel has been on the top of their game for some time now and yet Cap has succeeded in topping everything else they’ve done to date. What a great year for action adventure films and it’s only April!

Everyone needs to see this film and see it more than once it's that good.

Does anyone really think that any other blockbuster released this year can match this film? It's just so damn good that everyone should be ticked off at the Russo's. I think Spider-Man is getting the first blow back now. ASM2 is getting ripped by some and luke-warm by others and a lot are mentioning that it seems like a video game compared to this Winter Soldier film.

How many other summer films are going to fall short of this bar?

This remarkable film showed that they really cared enough to ground this film and stay very close to the source material where possible. That's what Marvel does so well. The story and abilities are fantastic and grand but the character and depth adds the weight you need to tell a believable yet intelligent tale. Add a script and plot that delivers thrills by the minute and what results is as good as a movie gets. That's ALL very tough to do when the subject matter is this fantastic and the elements they deal with are so grandiose.

Never have I seen more people love a film that deserves it as much as this one does. It's refreshing to see.

I despise the marvel comic movie adaptations but I must admit that Captain America: The Winter Soldier was a VERY good movie!

A combination of AMC Networks with another content distributor could add leverage for future negotiations with pay-TV operators over carriage deals.

Nothing against these movies, of course. My kids loved Frozen (my four-year-old son called it Princess Iceman), and my inner geek loved Thor. But winners like that don’t come along every year. Cap is something special and we should enjoy it without always looking ahead.

Yet not to focus on X-Men when it's two weeks out would be wrong.

X also marks the spot and X-Men ceratinly delivered. Still, I think Winter Soldier is just a slightly better all around film.
