Transformers 3 or X Men: First Class?

I will go to the theater to watch X Men. I will watch Trans 3 at the Redbox or Express since Trans 2 was a dud.

Transformers is for little kids.

X-Men First Class.. was actually a brilliantly done movie in every aspect. Find out for yourself.

Wanna go to the movies with me?

Anyone who likes Transformers has poor taste. Those who like Transformers 2 are retarded.

Transformers is for little kids. There are no adults who like the Transformer films. These films are specifically and strictly targeting adolescents.

So is your grammar...

The Transformers (movie) is for little kids. The Transformers (toys) are for little kids. Both true. Grammatically. You put little kid movies together with little kid toys and what do you get? Day camps and yellow mini-buses.

Well written, well acted movie with characters that develop and grow with a plot that revolves around the title characters, or 154 minutes of author insertion and explosions which the title characters are in about 10% of...yeah, that's a tough call.

Michael Bay needs to lead a special effects firm, because he's excellent at that. He's just not that good a director.

Transformers appeals to little kids & tweens. Forcing parents to take them. So of course it's making more money. Ask some of those parents about it. They hated it. It was long & painful.

X-men appeals to older teens & adults. It actually has a plot & character development. Older adults & people who dont even like comic books can & do appreciate X-men 1st class. But it isnt for little kids. Movies that do not appeal to little kids are rarely going to make tons of money.

I have teenage kids & even they thought Transformers sucked. They only liked Bumblebee. Meanwhile they LOVED X-men & have seen it 2-3 times. I couldnt pay them to watch Transformers again.

What does money have to do with comparing which franchise is superior? This is stupid!

Transformers 3 was such a EPIC movie!!! U r disgracing the franchise by not even watching in the theaters...I enjoyed both Transformers 3 and X-Men: First Class but Transformers 3 spanked X-Mens a** in quality of action and suspense. They aren't even on the same level of entertainment. But it's your opinion, I just think differently

Quality of action? You mean the same fights they have been showing since Transfomers 1? (i.e. only Bumblebee & Optimus can fight. The rest of the autobots need to thrown on skirts & trip over clumps of dirt while running.) That action? 2 Autobots against an army of Decepticons (again). Optimus blah blah blah'ing.. Again.. Yea. If you found that action engaging I really have to ask how many movies have you seen.

Suspense? What suspense? At what point did you think it was possible Optimus wouldnt eventually win? You didnt see Megatron taking out Galvatron 2.0 coming 40 mins before it happened? You didnt figure out that the kid & his girl would work things out, he'd find her & they'd hug/kiss at the end (just like the 1st 2 movies). Where you shocked every time Kenny died on South Park? Where you shocked when Lucy moved the football & Charlie Brown fell each time?

I agree, Transformers had more action than X-men 1st Class. It needed it. There was no plot. The Decepticons outnumber the Autobots, are stronger on an individual basis, & are far more cunning. They have a great plan that eventually backfires... And then Optimus gets up from "near death" & saves the day at the last min. Yawn... These movies have been 120+min long versions of the friggin cartoon episodes. They remind me of watching the WWF back in the 80s. With Optimus as Hulk Hogan. It's pathetic. The best Transfomers movie is STILL the cartoon movie from the 80s. At least there was real emotion there. Characters died.

X-men didnt need end to end action. It's a quality movie without the action. Good plot. Decent caracter development. And being built around real historical events, & actually changing those events, made it all the better.

True, it's a case of opinion vs opinion. But if you're really trying to argue Transformers is a better movie, I think you're going to be in the minority. Just look at the ratings.
