Why is this only a 7.4?

Are people really into countles,pointless and endless military shooters like Call of Duty that they dont reconigze other fps games? Resistance 3 deserves to be higher, Id say a 9. Great story, great gameplay and great atmosphere all around. The story was so dark and the atmosphere really made it feel like a bleak and utter alternate world, it was great to see. The beginning of the game reminded me of the flashback Kyle Reese has in Terminator, seeing an alternate future where the world around you is in ruins,and you're hiding,in fear and suffering from being killed. Such a gloom atmosphere in the game really made it shine. The gameplay was phenominal, the controls and the shooting were tightened and better exectuted than they were in Resistance 2.

Why Call of Duty still gets 8s and 9s I will never understand, people are too stupid now these days to know what a real, great game is.
