What are some things you would like to see answered/tied up before the end?
Sadly since they didn't retain most of the cast, a lot of things will likely go unanswered. Which is why I think a show's final season should always be announced at least a full season in advance, but alas.

So, it's a for sure thing none of the past cast members are going to return for the series finale?
I need to rewatch some episodes of Season 7, it feels like it's been so long.
I would like them to stick to Henry, Regina, Rumple storylines and not introduce more new characters. But I'm not sure if they have that option. I saw they were filming episode 17, so I hope they have time to give all characters a respectful "ending"
They might have time, since they'll likely have 22 episodes, and it sounds like they were planning for the renewal decision to go either way. It'll probably just be a scheduling scramble. And I think Jennifer Morrison said when she did the one episode early in Season 7 that she wouldn't be appearing again. Of course that could change. What I think is a bummer is that this will probably leave Belle dead. I doubt they'll introduce a lot of new characters at this point at least. Since they said they ended Season 6 kind of like a series finale, I feel like this end will be a fizzle.

The series finale needs Snow, Charming, Emma, Henry, Regina, Hook, Rumple and Belle, even if it's one big scene for 2 minutes.
Was thinking, I guess maybe at this point we can and should just assume that those all resolved themselves during the time jump, in the manner you'd prefer
