Lana Parilla Is Killing It

By far the MVP so far.Nooone is even close to challenging her.

as regina, she's always good imo.

as the evil queen..since season 4, it's been a campy/loud and cringeworthy performance imo.

I'm glad to see from the articles that have come out and the comments that have followed, that most people enjoyed Lana's performance as the evil queen. I love Lana's portrayal of Regina but the Evil Queen was always my favorite. She was the highlight for me and it seems many others in the last episode. I'm looking forward to seeing how she screws with everyone's head especially Regina's.

As well as screwing wth Zelina

You have a good point. If I were Zelina I'd be very concerned about this budding relationship. She has no idea what the evil queen has planned for Regina but it won't be long before she finds out and I don't think she will be happy about it. She and Regina are at odds with one another right now but I don't think either one wants the other to be hurt by the evil queen. I couldn't quite get what she said but it looked like Zelina wanted to resume her relationship with Regina. It sounds like the evil queen is going to do everything she can to see that doesn't happen.

I agree with eliduhh1. Her evil Queen act has gone downhill since season 4. She now plays a cartoonish version of her.

This is the first time in a long time that I've loved Regina's character on this series. Probably since back in Season 2.

reply

I thought that whenever she had played her in Seasons 4 and 5 she was more cartoony, but this so far has been back on form. She really shows off her versatility playing both at the same time. She's a very charismatic actress.

reply

Agreed. There was that one episode where it was Regina's birthday in the EF flashbacks with Cora and I cringed at how bad Parilla was essaying the EQ. It was like she forgot how to play the character. She seems to have gotten back to basics in Season 6.

Killing the show you mean? :P LOL *joke* Sorry for being negative.. happy you enjoy the new season ;) I'm not a fan of her character so I dislike this story. For me it's hard to take the show serious with 2 of them in one scene. However I have to admit so far (hopefully it stays that way) it wasn't as bad as I expected it would be. Because other characters still get screen time. For me it isn't a very great season but still very likable (so far) and for sure lots and lots better then 5B.

And 5A I might add.

I'm enjoying her performance as the Evil Queen this season.

Me too. Especially in the present as the serum version. Lana has said many times that she enjoyed it.

Regina is my favorite among the characters and lana plays the evil queen well.

I think she was slightly better as the Evil Queen in the last episode then she has been in the past few years. I almost think it is like she is a different character now then she ever was before. She is just all evil. I guess it is possible that we could see the Evil Queen have some good in her since they are showing that Regina still has some evil in her.

I am not really sure where they are going with it. If she is just supposed to be pure evil then her cartoony version is alright with me.

She is the reason I keep tuning in
