Get out of my house?

So she shoots one of the intruders and then tells the other (while pointing a gun at him) 'get out of my house'. why in the blanket blank didn't she shoot him. She lets him go so he could possibly come back or rob another house? Stupid stupid stupid

I thought the same thing.. Then I thought maybe it was because he tried to rape her and the other one didn't.

Depending upon which state she lived in, if she had shot the second guy the authorities would have been all over her for it as he was not threatening her (these are usually Northeastern or Pacific coast states). In other states, he'd be dog meat.

Hold him for the cops. Chasing him off leads to the scenario followed by the vengeful girlfriend - the Bad Guys know where YOU live, you don't know where they are.

Actually, if she had shot the 2nd intruder, and told the police, "I feared for my life" she would have been totally within her rights.

pretty rude of her to shoot him.

Maybe she didn't want any more blood staining her carpet and tile floors.

Some people find it very difficult emotionally to have to shoot someone. Maybe she just could not stand shooting another person. And the detective did tell her that he has never heard of an accomplice coming back.
