I have been a fan of Tara for years and looked forward to this series but the concept seems forced and unreal and the storylines seem to have been written by someone with an 'on message' agenda.
Could have been something special, but it's just disappointing and I've given up watching it.
I like it, could/should have been better but there are a lot worse shows. It does though provide ammunition for anyone who thinks the BBC is obsessed with being politically correct because (spoilers below for episode 5):
This one had it all-depicting human rights lawyers as heroic figures, asylum seekers as persecuted victims of an unfair system and they also managed to get euthanasia/assisted suicide in there as well! Now all these are valid points of view but just get in the way of what effectively should be a procedural, plot driven series.
