Wonderful FRench farce

This is an hilarious comedy. Of course, it helps if you know something about the Jewish religion/culture. This movie is full of politically incorrect references but without ever offending a particular group (maybe the French police would not agree). The actors are excellent, Nicolas Maury in particular.

I agree completely, except I'm not Jewish and I can't imagine liking it any more than I do. It's the best movie I've seen in a long, long time, and I have a huge crush on Nicolas Maury. He's delightful, gorgeous, and very talented. I'd never heard of him before.

You're right about the cops, though. Except for the jerk Hervé, they're the only characters in the movie who aren't adorable. Even Maurice Goldberg turns out to be a sweetheart. I love the police inspector choking up as he reads Ruben's love letter to Teemu into the phone, so even the cops come off okay in the end.
