1/10. Here's why / Esta es la razón:
Imagine that someone invites you to their house for dinner. You arrive and, when they open the door, you can tell that they forgot. They pretend like they remember, they get ready really fast and you end up eating with someone who doesn't have much to say (because they didn't prepare conversation topics). That combination of messy and boring is also the result of DEMONIC's attempt to keep 3 sub-genres fresh by combining them. You see, it's a haunted house movie with (just) some scenes filmed as found footage, interrupted by police procedural scenes. The ones that show the field investigation didn't bother me, but the ones that show the interrogation are awful. The characters describe the events at the house. That's right: They tell the audience what we just saw and what we're about to see in a few seconds! Now, it probably has the most realistic approach to the found footage format. Think about it: In those movies, we don't see every second of what was filmed. Either the person who found the footage edited it or the cameraman took breaks during filming. The latter makes more sense. That being said, it felt awkward to see that point of view only from time to time. It has been done in movies before, but it usually lasts a few seconds, not minutes (like in here).

Imagina que alguien te invita a su casa para cenar. Tú llegas y, cuando abre la puerta, puedes notar que se le olvidó. Finge como que se acuerda, se alista muy rápido y terminas comiendo con alguien que no tiene mucho que decir (porque no preparó temas de conversación). Esa combinación de desorganizado y aburrido también es el resultado del intento de LA CASA DEL DEMONIO de mantener 3 sub-géneros frescos al combinarlos. Verán, es una película de casa embrujada con (solo) algunas escenas filmadas como metraje encontrado, interrumpidas por escenas del procedimiento policial. Las que muestran la investigación de campo no me molestaron, pero las que muestran el interrogatorio son pésimas. Los personajes describen los eventos en la casa. Así es: ¡le dicen al público lo que acabamos de ver y lo que estamos por ver en unos segundos! Ahora, probablemente tiene el enfoque más realista en el formato de metraje encontrado. Piénsenlo: en esas películas, no vemos cada segundo de lo que fue filmado. O la persona que encontró el metraje lo editó o el camarógrafo tomó descansos durante la filmación. Lo segundo tiene más sentido. Habiendo dicho eso, se sintió incomodo ver ese punto de vista solo de vez en cuando. Se ha hecho películas antes, pero normalmente dura unos pocos segundos, no minutos (como ocurre aquí).
