That's what it should be called because that's what it was. Nothing. Non existent story, zero character development, pointless and un-interesting. Even the camera work and scenes were blase' and all but un-noticable. I was looking forward to liking it but it was just a boring, total waste of time to me. I LOVE foreign and independent films including long, slow-moving ones as long as there is something there. Unfortunately in this, there wasn't.

shareyou are right...its nothing and that's what is good about the movie...getting a plot among these characters is point less`and would not have worked mostly/ it would be very costly to make a movie with a plot ... this movie is made with just 6 crew members...it doesn't mean we should give some credit for their effort and overlook our judgement ... its just that i like it for what it is ...and im sure i'll be seconded

Actually for a Hindi film "Gandu" is an historical event. you would KNOW this if you had any knowledge of cinema OR the political climate in the part of the World that this film came from. Finally the outdated cencorship laws of "no nudity, no sex" in film, have been smashed to pieces with this groundbreaking film. The use of b&w photography was used to maximum effect, and the result is beautiful. It sounds like you are just too jaded and spolied to appreciate this for what it is, because you are used to having access to everything. "Zero character development?" another joke. How you can claim to "love foreign and independant cinema, is beyond me.

You're right!! I am a charlatan and a fraud. I know nothing about anything except for the "Transformers" and "The Fast and the Furious" posters that my mommy bought me while I live in my bubble. Because you like it and because you have SOOO much more knowledge about cinema and world politics, I have realized what a spoiled brat that I am for DARING to not like this movie (or any other cinematic and political marvel whose virtues you extol) for it for what it truly is: THE SALVATION OF MANKIND!!! I recant!! I absolutely ADORE this cinematic and social MASTERPIECE and I am going to spend my every waking moment proclaiming it from the rooftops!!

i completely agree with you....this movie is bland and it absolutely has no character development ...the only reason why this movie was made was to fight Indian censor board by showing explicit sex scene,which was never done in indian cinema before..that does not classify this movie as a art ..but a mere charade
