This FAKE reality show is TERRIBLE

When I saw commercials for this show, obviously I thought it was too similar to Operation Repo, and TruTV would want to make the format different to keep both shows fresh. I thought maybe they would make it different by it actually being REAL.

So much for that... this show is even more staged and unrealistic than Operation Repo. Also like Operation Repo, the actors are gross. That freakin' fat redneck with the NASCAR sunglasses and mullet makes me want to vomit and laugh simultaneously.

This show is so fake, it's really insulting to the intelligence of the viewers. In some of the wide shots, you can see there are no boom mics present, yet even the people who are supposed to be surprised that their car is being repossessed are clearly audible from a great distance. So, obviously they're mic'd up.

And that's not even to mention how freaking ridiculous the scenarios in this show are. Not ridiculous as in "oh man, that's so crazy!" but as in "oh brother, who would actually think this crap was remotely realistic?"

Another thing I've noticed is that the people that are getting their stuff repo'ed dont look into the camera. If they were really surprised at the repo people taking their stuff, they would be looking into the camera, talking, telling them to cut the camera off and trying to knock it from their hands. Yet we see sometimes the camera man, right in the middle of the fight and they never get knocked down or hurt! How unrealistic that the mad folks never injure the camera man- only the repo guys get hit.

TRU TV should change their name to the redneck channel.

TRU? Short for Truly Horrible? Certainly not for True to life.

Tonight's show was my first. Do they really expect people to believe a guy was hucking molotav cocktails at them ON CAMERA and the police weren't called?

And the guy shot with the tranq dart? Really? Really? We are supposed to believe this?

Years back when they promised 500 channels I thought (stupidly) wow, how cool will that be? I didn't realize how many of them would be total sh!t channels dedicated to nothing but rednecks and the lowest common denominators.

I bet the "execs" at this network are waving wads of money at Jerry Springer to come out of retirement. If he's not already running the entire network, that is.

This is beyond pathetic.

I agree with ya.

I foolishly thought "now here's a chance for some quality programming" when they announced 500 channels.

BOY, was I wrong. 90 percent of the stuff out there is total crap. Who wants 500 channels when 497 of them are presented brain dead garbage?

As for this show, it's so obviously scripted. There's just too much crazy *beep* going on to be "reality". Besides, where are the cops? You'd think if someone threated you with a hand grenade (like in episode 1), you'd want a cop.

Unfortunately it is fake why is that we are fakes might u ask just because u don't agree to those who dislike a show i for one think this is a terrible reality show before i am found a hypocrite i used to this garbage but i had gotten tired of it and the TRUTV nonsense programs. To think The channel used to be CourtTV a real channel before they sold their souls to this idiotic low-class rubbish i'm sorry this hurts you either way. It doesnt if u dont agree with me.
Why does everyone find repo-redneck and pawn shop so entertaining? Its boring to me either way when they try to over-exaggerate things like yell, cuss, and fight like -2-years olds. America TV in my opinion is in its brink of doom if u will..

It is really bad and very scripted, it almost seems like theyre sometimes reading lines also. Mas Roadhouse was another super pathetically scripted 'reality show' .

I can not agree more.... if the 1950's were "The Golden Age of TV", what we have now is "The Dark Ages of TV".... it's a disgrace what a cesspool Cable TV has become.

The show may be scripted but Lizard Lick towing is real... From what I have read, it started when a news crew shot a documentary of them in 2008 and when Tru[fake]TV signed them, the rest was history. Here is their actual address:

Yeah... that's the only reason it started... to provide a "storefront" for the show... once the show folds chances are that the "storefront" folds also... just like those clowns on AMERICAN PRICKERS... and their "storefront" Antiquity something... never exited before the show...

All these shows are fake... and that's a shame....

I just caught an episode. A customer came in and the got in a physical fight with the owners. Someone was pushed into the customer window/ door, and the frame completely gave. If that doesn't scream set, nothing does!

Well yeah, and I don't think anybody is really trying to pretend the show isn't fake.

What sets 'Lizard Lick' apart is its lameness. It's just incredibly poorly done, repetitive, shows lack of imagination, etc. Some people feel it's insulting; I'd say if anything the joke is on people too gullible to know any better.
