You Haters Are A Piece Of Hypocritical Work

At least ninety percent of the yammering here is cynical and, well, it almost comes across like if the main motivator is envy. Yes envy that someone who may have had a legitimate business abs was a hardworking family man just trying to provide was discovered by some cable exec who thought; ("hmm, my demographics and cable ratings demonstrate that there is a market for tow/repo shows. Let me spend a few thousand, run a pilot and a couple of episodes and let's see how the market receives it."). It's akin to winning the lottery except you have to work for the earnings. Isn't a market driven, Capatalst society grand? Why, we even have more than five government owned networks from which to choose from.

And now, God knows how many seasons later some hard working Joe from Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery LLC, located at 2605 N Carolina 97, Wendell, NC 27591, is Internationally popular enough that he and his family can live comfortably, possibly for life, (remember my lottery analogy). The town is seeing increased revenue from tourists, fees and licenses that have to be paid for the network's use of their public works and, several small business's are making bucks just from the influx of all the staff necessary to film an episodic show. Yeah, *smirk* smells like envy all up in here.

At the beginning of my post I said the "H" word. I think I see enough evidence to justify my saying it. Just a few minutes reading earlier posts shows that the most fanatical haters know enough about the show to possibly qualify them as a fan? Yep that's the definition of risk hypocritical behavior in any psychology 101 vocabulary book.

There are very few reality shows that are not scripted (I can only think of maybe ten or so). Everything you watch is scripted (yes even the nut shots on those funniest video shows). It has to be scripted because the studio needs to control the shots and redo bloopers and stop to get the producer some coffee, etc. It's impossible to just tag after someone, never tell them what to do or what camera to look at, etc... and be able to produce an entertaining program that a lot of people watch (even you) and that generates high enough ratings for some viewers to actually purchase the products marketed on the show which would then incentivice (based on the ratings, of course) the advertisors to continue to purchase commercial air time which then results in the circle of the free market economy (which I lightly touched upon above,somewhere). This whole cycle, of which some of you haters are an active part of, repeats itself over and over and the Shirleys and everything else dependent on this show being successful continue to make money and you don't! I think you're jealous and I can't see you to see if your turning green or not. Do you really, reeeallly, want unscripted reality then I recommend you go watch C-SPAN or NASA or even the wildly acclaimed International Space Station channel. But, your freedom of speech not withstanding, don't spew your cynicism and hate of the show and tainted plot predictions when it's obvious that you're a fanboy.

For those that watch the show, or any other show, for the true enjoyment of it then the sermon above does not apply to you. Keep enjoying life in everything you do for life is way too short and precious to waste a moment of it hating especially something so easily avoided like a TV show. God Bless America where people can have the freedom to hate and others have the freedom to call them out on it.
