Is Victor Salva not allowed to work with underrage actors or something? I'm usually good at suspending disbelief, but this guy's old enough to be playing leads in romantic comedies not a teen paperboy.

this movie was pretty stupid and one of the reasons was this stupid choice of a a man playing a teen. It did bug me they refered to him as a boy.

Yeah, that kept bugging me. I can only guess they thought if it was a boy it wouldn't be as believable. However, I have seen some horror movies where killers are children an they CAN work.
If you haven't check out "Eden Lake" sometime. It might have even made the movie better.
