Tris until later did not have the capability for forgiveness. She felt guilt even before killing Will. She did not have it in for her to be Candor. She lied about the test and being sick. She could have chosen Euridite over her own faction, but I think after what her parents said about said their motives, she didn't want to feel like she would have to betray them. She found Dauntless exciting and her own faction she didn't like the fact she had to give up so much to help others and she felt pressure to do the right thing.
