Which do you prefer Divergent, The Hunger Games or The Maze Runner?

I heard there's a lot of comparisons between these three films. Divergent, The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner, which from the three Young Adult adaptations is your favorite and which one is better? For me first is The Hunger Games because The Hunger Games themes and tones are darker, grittier and more grounded plus realistic as well and the execution is much better. Second is The Maze Runner because that film has a completely different execution than The Hunger Games and that film is just as dark as The Hunger Games, but it comes close at the same time to The Hunger Games and it is way better than Divergent thanks to the performances of the casts and the dystopia feel of the movie. While Divergent is my least favorite because of its disappointing execution and its not as dark as The Hunger Games due to its lack of charisma and shallow style, also Divergent just feels like its copying The Hunger Games so I call Divergent a poor Hunger Games rip off.

Hunger Games by ten thousand miles ! It has better actors and it's taken more seriously then other two.

Personally, I prefer The Hunger Games series.

Hunger Games because it has a better backstory. You know the Games were organized because Snow ( or a predecessor) realized that they would simultaneously terrify the Districts and entertain the Capitol. But in Divergent you don't know who invented the factions or how they persuaded everybody else that it was a good idea. And in MAZE RUNNER you never learn why the kids are imprisoned in the maze place.

If you read the whole series you find out who started the factions.

I pick hunger games. I really enjoyed both until alliegent came out and forked it up for me.

I loved Divergent as much as THG (books may I add) until Alligent :(

But the films! FML I've tried watching THG several times I just can't it p!sses me off so bad I hate Josh Hutcherson (grrr) on the other hand Ive seen Divergent 100s of times I'm actually watching it now and I LOVE IT!

Maze Runner was good, but I haven't read the books yet, so I'm still on the fence about it.

I did. I found the explanation very unconvincing. It said dividing humanity into factions would create some sort of metaphysical stress and cause Divergents to evolve to compensate. This stress-causes-evolution philosophy is called Lamarckism, and it was long ago supplanted by Darwin's and Wallace's theory of natural selection.

That's the whole point of sequels -.-

The Maze Runner by far. Then Divergent. Far behind that was The Hunger Games.

I prefer Hunger Games than The Maze Runner or Divergent. Divergent has amazing plot and opening, but it has quite terrible ending. The Maze Runner got it all *except for the romance thingy*. For Mockingjay, the novel is quite boring so i'm a lil' bit pleased for the movie.

If we're going just purely on the movies, for me it would be first Hunger Games, and then Maze Runner and Divergent tied for second.

If we're talking books and/or movies, well, I haven't read the Divergent books and I've only read the first book in the Maze Runner series but I have read all three Hunger Games books. So I'd only really be able to comment on the Hunger Games books...

This is my signature.

Movies: The Hunger Games BY FAR!!!! Then The Maze Runner far behind trying to catch up, then Divergent tagging behind.

The Divergent film was horrible and bland, and The Maze Runner was barely any better, but decent at best. Maze Runner would've been perfect if they'd made it more like the book. Every single change they made was a very negative one.
Both films should take a lesson from The Hunger Games films. Not only are the Hunger Games films true to the books, but they add to them with companion scenes that we didn't get in the books because it was told in Katniss' point of view. The Hunger Games films are fantastic, but if I nitpicked, I'd find a lot wrong with them and still feel I'd do a better job on some parts, less so on others.

Books: The Hunger Games, then Maze Runner tagging close by, then Divergent trying to catch up far away.

The Hunger Games was an enthralling, thought-provoking read that I couldn't put down and needed to find out the end to all of it. The Maze Runner was full of questions and was very fun, but had a hard time matching the feeling I had with The Hunger Games. I even took a break in-between books and I've yet to finish off the last one. The Hunger Games trilogy was finished in a week for me. Divergent, forget about Divergent. The first was interesting, but DRAGGED so much and then the second was the same, but worse. There feels like there is so much dead weight compared to the other two. I've yet to even get past the whole second book and probably won't ever.

I'll stick to the much better Hunger Games and Maze Runner and avoid this Divergent series like the plague. The Hunger Games is wonderfully crafted and acted, Maze Runner is wonderfully dark and intense, but Divergent is infantile fluff.
