Stupid mistake

In the 3rd episode, the son is abducted, and during the investigation Cooper supposedly calls the kid's tennis coach for her to give his phone number to the dad.
He gives the number as 310-555-1212.
555-1212 is the number for information in any given area code.
310-555-1212 would NOT be the number for a pay phone at the dad's police station, it would be the number for information in the 310 area code.
A stupid mistake, but it makes you wonder just how lazy the writers and producers were with everything else they put in the show.
Try it, pick any area code, dial that with 555-1212 and see what you get.
It won't be a pay phone somewhere.
