Why no Captain Carl Dedication?
I thought they may say dedicated to at the beginning of the show or maybe even some sort of hidden gem on set or something! I know Phil Hartmen's death was horrific, but come on!
shareI don't think they wanted to dwell on it too much. Everyone knows about it and they might have felt people would think they were exploiting it. In the DVD commentary, Paul Reubens does comment on how much Hartman's presence was felt on the set and Phil LaMarr delivers a line during the 'jerky' sequence ("That's the sea, Pee!") in an imitation of Captain Carl's voice as a sort-of tribute.
