dafuq. I used to be like that as a kid. Always read the last sentence of a book first, and then sometimes even the last few pages. Nowadays I'll still almost always read the very last sentence, but not much else since I don't want to spoil the ride. I guess it's like, I know now that certain stories are better played out how the author/movie-maker intended than me jumping ahead and knowing. maybe you're right, there's some psychological thing...I didn't want to be unprepared and I used to like knowing where it was going so I could see how it gets there. But I don't think it's therapy-worthy!!
And who knows, maybe because real life IS so chaotic and out of our control, and some people are more sensitive to chaos than others, they like to have a sense of control over things that they can control, like a story/movie. I mean it's not doing any harm to read the ending first except that you might be missing out on some cool intended shock value or whatever an author might have intended.
