Suing Downloaders to make up for lame production costs

I haven't watched it, and never will after hearing they are suing people to make up for their production costs. The movie is a flop, and so is their tactic on suing downloaders to recover for something they never would of gained in the first place. I'm not watching any movie from this producer, or with these actors again.

Meh I don't worry too much since I don't live in Canada.

That being said I think it's really *beep* and honestly more illegal on their part.

It's not just Recoil either. It's a new law that allows companies to monitor those who "illegally" download content and supposedly 1,000,000 people in Canada were caught or something.

Thats why fewer good movies get produced. There really is no money in it anymore since everybody just steals your product.

^ I'm not defending piracy, but have you looked at the box office receipts for the last several years? Despite claims of losing money, the industry is doing anything but. People are throwing their money at movie theaters left and right. As for "why fewer good movies get produced", this is totally my opinion and not worth anything, but it seems to me that exact same comment has been made since the 80s (when I first heard it). In other words, nothing has really changed, though I admit I think the newest niche of films certainly would be the overly-intellectual thrillers, and superhero films that take themselves more seriously.
