Funny thing about Reese

Reese is a special forces vet, highly trained in martial arts, an intel agent with much experience in wetwork.
He is a dead shot.
But he rarely runs, and then not very fast. Sometimes he just walks fast, even though he takes a bullet from being slow.

I think he does this because the writers want him to always look calm and cool, but sometimes it looks funny.

I can remember at least four times of him running fast - and looking good in his Hugo-Boss-suit.

Yes, the day after I started this thread I watched an episode where Reese sprinted a short distance and disarmed a guy before he could bring his pistol into action. I had forgotten about that scene, and I guess about the others also.
I guess I forgot those scenes since he normally expends the minimum of effort to dispatch bad guys. It plays into his whole calm, cool, and confident, efficient black ops persona. He doesn't freak out, ever.
I just forgot about the times he moved fast.

You gotta remember Reese is probably in his forties maybe even pushing fifty. So he can't really run that much

Nah, I am 59 and I can run if I need to. And if someone were shooting at me, with the adrenaline rush I would have, I could certainly run for cover.
I am not as nimble or fast as I was in my 20s and 30s. Mainly though it is my endurance which has decreased. I can still scoot fast when I need to.

After I wrote this post I read elsewhere that this actor was injured during the filming of a movie he did. So I guess that was probably one reason.

I watched an old episode the day after writing this post and there was a scene where in fact he did sprint a short distance to disarm a guy. I didn't recall that before.

But I still think the writers probably thought he should get his job done with a minimum of effort. It plays into his badass persona. He doesn't get ruffled, remains calm and confident, and dispatches opponents with little effort.

I would agree with this assessment. You don't want a man in a suit sweating profusely doing a whole lot of running, do you?
