Just saw the pilot... really REALLY bad.
Well what do you know - a sitcom about a lame dude. I guess the success of Two And A Half Men and Big Bang Theory really suggest that we need more shows with nerdy dudes (this time with a hint of Frasier thrown in and believe me - this guy is no Kelsey Grammer). Oh and just like that one show had a guy who was not-as-lame-as-the-other-one this show also has that, but kinda like if Earl from My Name Is Earl was a jock. You see where this is going? Man, this show was awful. And it had a bunch of supporting characters that added absolutely nothing to it - with the exeption of the lame dudes lame and whacky (...) brother-in-law. Who's also British for no reason. He added something allright.
Oh the shenanigans this show could have. Why the next episode seems to be called "How To Have A One Night Stand" - I can see Jock Earl coatching Wannabe Fraser in the art of scoring chicks now and believe me, it's not a pretty sight at all...
This is a typical mind blowing moder sitcom - an incredibly lazy show that somehow tries too hard and is incredibly awkward. I mean how do you pull of not trying and trying too hard at the same time? Mind blowing!
I'll give the pilot a 3/10 for a couple of moments that were really dumb, but compared to the other non laughs of the show, they were sadly highlights that at least made me... um... I know I wasn't laughing, but I wasn't crinching either, so that's a start, I guess...
