What would you do?

In the movie the main character of Calvin first intends on not changing Ruby via his writing. This can be seen as many things but I would like to think of it as an act or morality. This act of morality of course exists on a scale because one might be able to argue that the real ethical thing to do would be to inform her of her fictional nature from the moment he realized that she had been made fully real. Some, like myself, would no doubt have trouble tweaking her in all manner of speaking to create the perfect partner or even slave.

My question is what would you do if you were in the same situation as Calvin?
