In Hollywood pretty much as soon as an actress is too old to play a hot teenage girl, she gets cast as the hot MOTHER of a hot teenage girl. It's like Eva Green playing Shailene Woodley's mother in "White Bird in a Blizzard".

Or actually it's like a 70's era porno movie where they were afraid to cast anyone that looked like an actual teenager, but they didn't want to use women over 35 either, so you had "mothers" and "daughters" who were about 5 years apart in age. This is obviously not a 70's porn movie though, so you'd think they could have been a little more age appropriate with the casting.
