God awful soundtrack

For a movie that is clearly a period film circa 1970's this had a really sh!tty soundtrack .... It sounded like a TV movie of the week rather than a feature film...
Some classic 70"s rock could of lent this film some much needed credibility ..

Taking a shot in the dark here, but my guess is that the makers of this film couldn't afford any real or popular 70s tunes.

this film had to of had some sort of budget with the cast they put together..Not quite global stars but some recognizable faces to go along with Anna Paquin....If they could spend the dough on Cam Giganet in a almost useless role them they should of sprang for some decent 70's rock to enhance the soundtrack...
I'm thinking the money was there but chose to use some obscure band that the director or producers are friendly with..
i dont knowthat for sure but it was a decent film but the missing soundtrack could of at least taken this film to the next level...too bad

Of course I don't know if this is the case, but we all know many big names will do these indie movies for less because they enjoy the work or the script. That may be the case here. I'm convinced it did not have a big enough budget for a full 70s soundtrack.

I totally agree. Crappiest soundtrack EVER. I thought the movie was good, but it could have been improved 100 fold if they had used some REAL 70's music. What would Fast Times at Ridgemont High have been like if the soundtrack had been as crappy as this one?

I am the opposite, I like some of the songs on the soundtrack! I agree they should have thrown in some 70's songs.
I'm frustrated that the IMDB doesn't list the songs. They only list 2 songs.

I *so* agree.

Given that the story took place in the 70's, I was looking forward to a decent soundtrack myself...nope...
