why is it called Bent?



really was not a bad show.

too bad it is on NBC which can't promote anything. no one knows it's on, and up against Modern Family, doomed to failure.

even good reviews can't help NBC any more.

It's mentioned in the first episode. Something like the crew(or just Pete?) needs to straighten out their lives, but they accept being "bent".

A couple people mentioned being bent, but not broken. That seems to be the theme.

Walt's Underdog motto in the first episode is : I am Bent but not broken.

NBC really needs to give this a season 2 sampling. All critic agree this is best new comedy this season. It just needs a real chance.

It's clear from the title (and responses on this thread) that Americans have no idea that Bent means something quite different in the UK, where it is a coarse, insulting term for gay men and women.
