Who plays Jeffrey Tambor's acting buddy?

I recognize the actor playing the guy who catered with Jeffrey Tambor's character at the wedding, and then was in the two man show in the finale. Does anybody know the actor's name or what he's been in?

Joel Brooks. He's great. Had some great lines on the series finale of Bleep My Dad Says last year.
