Okay, but a few things bugged me ...

1. Was unnecessarily religious. Some parts were relevant to the story, but many were gratuitous to promote an agenda, which is a turnoff for me.

2. The coach's wife was never explained. Did she die? Did they divorce? Was his son immaculately conceived?

3. Lefty is shown batting, but never Mickey. Why? Along the same lines, was Mickey ever taught to pick of runners? There's much more to pitching than striking out batters.

4. Why was the only team they played the Fargo Bullets?

5. Why didn't they ever have an away game?
