Where is everyone posting?

There's hardly anybody here anymore and there are just a few comments. Where is everyone posting comments these days?

I think it may be because the show has, "Run it's Course" so to speak. I was an avid watcher for the first 9 seasons. The last few have been pretty boring. What turned me away was the same old singing genre. No Rock, just a bunch of country, church screamers, & Hip Hop Pop. Nothing a person my age or style listens to. I think the majority of watchers are of a younger age & generation and they bore easily & quickly and have left to watch or do other things.

So you're an old f@rt like me huh? Haha! Thanks for answering. I'm sure you're right. My daughter told me nobody watches The Voice anymore. However, her generation spawned the Kartrashians so they get zero credit from me. ?

reply

Lol! The Kartrashians!! Proud to say I've never watched a single episode.

I am equally as proud to be able to say the same! GAG!

I lost interest in the show. Wasn't just Miley that scared me away. I tuned in tonight for the finale. Wanted to see if anybody else noticed all the dubbed in music during the KISS performance. Wasn't exactly lip syncing but it was pretty close. Anyhow, the main reason I lost interest in the show is, as SvenHozz pointed out, it lost its hard rock edge and really began to focus on crap music that's a total snooze fest. It's boring as dirt.

I'll definitely watch for that. I detest dubbing and lip syncing!

reply

There's no lip syncing. But there's bass parts that Gene wasn't playing, and Paul switched to a fake guitar that can't possibly have been playing.

My 77 year old mom is a huge fan of Gene and Paul so I think I'll be nice and not break that disappointing news to her. She'd be crushed! Fortunately she doesn't watch the show. :-/

I think it's representative of the lack of excitement for the show. Seems to drop off every season. We all know its Blake or Adam so what is there to really be excited about? Billy or Sundance. Guaranteed.

reply

That makes sense. As usual, I don't start watching a show until it's fizzling out. Or until it's been off the air for 30 or 40 years, haha.

I have a similar problem, but in a different way. Every time I become interested in a series, they cancel it. I had the same problem growing up with my comic collection. I think I have more complete comics series than anyone I know. Granted most do not have over 100 issues, but still. Story of my life actually, it started when my class was the last class to graduate from my High school. Since that time I have worked for at least 8 different companies that have folded. Nice track record huh?

Don't be so hard on yourself! I'll bet the real story is...... After your class they couldn't imagine another class outshining yours! :-)

I know exactly what you mean about your favorite shows, etc. getting cancelled! I purposely don't watch shows until years later because I got tired of them getting cancelled just when I was getting into them. I took a bold leap and started watching the new show, "This Is Us" and I'm really enjoying it so it'll probably get cancelled, haha. I didn't start watching Seinfeld until it was ending.

As far as the jobs go - at least you're out there trying so keep your chin up!
