Amber Riley of Glee fame, who's currently playing Effie in the West End production of Dreamgirls, is an Idol reject. I believe the lead singer of Lady Antebellum and Colbie Caillat are as well.

I didn't strengthen anything. I named 3 people with very solid careers who were rejected by American Idol. Maren Morris, a nominee for the Best New Artist Grammy, is also an American Idol reject.
shareIt's all about the season, and that's it, period. It's all air and no calories. Any half way decent singer given all that back up, lighting, makeup, clothes, an audience applauding on command, will look halfway decent on TV. Practically anybody!
