Sundance? Seriously?

These shows really make me hate country because it seems to be the biggest voting demographic every season. James Durbin (my favorite singing show contestant ever--seriously, YouTube that boy) lost to Scotty McCreery on AI 2011. Matt McAndrew lost to Craig Wayne Boyd on The Voice in Season 8. So many talented people that ultimately get overlooked because one genre seems to always win out. Do people vote for contestants or coaches? Because it seems like the latter more often than not.

I'm frustrated. There were other people who were far more passionate and deserving, imo. I'm not saying Sundance wasn't talented, but he didn't truly engage me emotionally once.

Ali and Brenden were the front runners for me all season, and Billy to a lesser extent. How do people with such versatility keep losing?

Maybe next season I'll just cut my losses after the Knockouts. I enjoy the show the most before the lives start, anyway.

Hopefully you enjoyed The Voice season 8, 9, and 10, in which country singers did not win! That was Sawyer, Jordan, and Alisan.

Sawyer and Alison should have lost to country singers.
