Major flaw + biggest cop-out "twist at the end"

1. Eleanor trying to blackmail this rich and powerful family would not have gone well if they are as rich and powerful as we are led to believe. They would have killed her as soon as she tried anything.

2. The twist at the end made no sense. Felix is randomly gay? Then how come we spent half of the movie focusing on the fact that he had a crush on Gemma? Was it just a front? And even if it was why was he so obsessed with her at the party and crying when he got rejected?
