The killers voice (spoiler)

I'm pretty sure that was Jim Caviezel doing the killers voice over the phone, yet he is uncredited. Anyone know more?

I'm pretty certain it's him. I'm very familiar with his work and the character of his voice is so distinctive that it's almost hard to miss.

I thought the exact same thing!!! For the longest time I was like who is that?? Then it clicked ...Jim Caviezel, but yeah he wasn't listed in the credits...I don't think anyone was listed for the killer's voice. And the actual guy didn't sound anything like the guy on the phone.

My point exactly, the killer has a different voice when she finds him. To be honest it was a bit disappointing that it wasn't Caviezel as the guy playing the killer didn't put up much of a character performance, but then again he had very little screen time to establish much.

OMG. Jim Caviezel as the killer would have made this movie 10 times better - if he had more screen time.

He is so sexy and there is an evil charm about him.

This love will be your downfall

Have you seen the remake of When a Stranger Calls? The killer was played by Tommy Flanagan, yet on the phone he was voiced by Lance Henriksen.

reply

Don't you think he would be credited if he provided the voice for the killer?

Respect what you have 🌌

i highly doubt it was Caviezel doing the voice on the phone. MOST people will sound different on the phone than they would face to face. ever hear yourself on your voicemail outmessage? an audio recording? do you sound exactly the same, i doubt it. and as for the character Jim(the killer) was played by Socratis Otto(dude that played the Train Oparator in Matrix) and he does kinda sound like Jim Caviezel

reply

Actually, it sounded exactly like Joel David Moore to me, and given that he is in the movie, I expected him to pop out at the last moment as an accomplice.

I thought that voice sounded familiar, so it was Jim Caviezel?

reply

I thought it sounded a bit like Nicolas Cage
