heard the bad reviews going in

so I had my guard up,

but, still within first 15 minutes I almost shut it off. I couldn't understand what the heck was happening. The plot seemed really confusing things missing, jumbling around, no back story, I couldn't see ( my tv tends to be too dark a lot of times), but about halfway through I realized it wasn't too bad. I figured everything out and realized it was a cute little fairytale. They definitely should have marketed it as a fairytale not a love story.

It really reminded me of that film stardust from like 2004 with Claire danes and michelle pheiffer..though that was not a book and a little sillier, it definitely reminded me of it with the star elements.

The movie was cute, a little sappy, but sweet. I never truly felt Beverly and peter loved each other that that much. It was more about the act of miracles and that they can happen in this world. Again the fairy tale aspect rather than love story. my fave parts were th guardian angel/ horse..he stole the show...white horses often do (shadowfax from tlotr) another good character....so it was a nice film, but just a tad messy. I can definitely tell it was changed from the book because it seemed chopped and pieced back together.

it should have been emphasized more of a magical fairytale than love story maybe it would get more fans...

I may watch it again eventually

will smith was the mistake...was that like a joke, why was he in this he didn't fit in, wasn't needed...eva marie saint was the best surpsrise..she is a beautiful old woman....everyone should watch her in north by northwest...

overall film exceeded my expectations...oh forgot to mention Sybil....she was underwhelming and as I said didn't really have the best chemistry with peter in my opinion, but I guess any downton abbey die hard is going to say that. This is branson's girl we are talking about. interestingly Collin Farrell is an attractive man but I have never seen him have good chemistry with anyone...
