After watching the movie, I just read the short synopsis at the top of the movie's main page here in imdb:
A burglar falls for an heiress as she dies in his arms. When he learns that he has the gift of reincarnation, he sets out to save her.
Yes, I was very confused while watching the movie due to having read the synopsis.
I thought Ferrel's character in the present was his reincarnation. After it became clear it wasn't the case, I got a very bad vibe because it lead me to belive the little girl with red hair was Jessica Brown Findlay's reincarnation and he was going to "save her" just to groom her until... you know.. she was of age.
I was just about to make a thread about this, but decided to read the others thinking I couldn't be the only one annoyed by this.
Wtf is up with that synopsis? Is it to mislead the audience? If so.. Just no. It spoils half of the movie and has nothing to do with the remaining half.
Ha! I was just wondering the same thing. I just finished watching it, came here, saw the synopsis, and immediately thought "Um, no... I really don't think that's what just happened!" Weird.
