Anti-wikileaks propaganda movie

Of course. If you doubted for a second, that a Hollywood, Dreamwork production wouldn't try to twist truth and adopt a negative narrative towards an anti-establishment activists, you're dumb.

There are dozens of books about Wikileaks, all pretty good, but Dreamwork right away chose to produce the most toxic and false of the books, so toxic that they distribute it to the US army personal to discourage anyone from divulging informations.

If you still don't know what the actual position from Assange was, well here is the actual letter he wrote to Cumberbatch about it: https://wikileaks.org/First-Letter-from-Julian-Assange.html

You're right, augurae, a film on this subject from a big pro-establishment Hollywood studio never had a chance of being substantial. Or, frankly, interesting.

I chuckle when people complain that Hollywood is anti-American. It's not; it's actually very conservative and unwilling to take a stand on anything, unless that's the way the wind (and money!) is already flowing.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

I think we will have to retool that analyses now. Nothing to do with conservative and everything to do with the establishment shadow government.

reply

Yeah, you may well be right. :-)

Small point, but by "conservative" I didn't actually mean the US political term (which, as a non-American, I tend to see as reactionary and authoritarian rather than truly conservative). I see Hollywood more as risk-averse, clinging to the proven and familiar (for instance, why they do so many remakes) and accommodating vested authority.

Hollywood is a Jewish-American propaganda factory. Always has been, always will be.
