Just finished watching this on Netflix and...
I'm so annoyed they canceled. It really got good towards the end. And the CW should be regretting their decision about now.

shareIt was WONDERFUL towards the end :(
So much potential built up in those final episodes for what could have been a tremendous second season.
They think we're the demons now - Prue Halliwell ~ All Hell Breaks Loose ~ Charmed
even though things started out slow the last half of the season was great. i only wish Nick had not been killed off a second time and Lee never should have been killed at all. it was strange anytime Diana got mad since she was so sweet and innocent

I would rather have seen Diana going evil then Cassie. That would have been more interesting. But yeah it's a shame. They seemed to get there act together in the last episodes but a little to late.
Oh that's more funny then a screen door on a battle ship- Biff Tannen
I would personally like to see Diana on Vampire Diaries, but fans may not go for that. She's definitely more likeable than Bonnie even with the chance of going evil

I agree that Lee and Nick should not have been killed off so quickly. Adam should have been written more like he was in the book. It is just a shame that the show was cancelled.
Dont blast me for grammar errors its hard posting on the phone
how was book Adam diffrent from tv Adam

My opinion of book adam was that he was stronger. Adam was the leader and was always fighting for cassie. I know he stood up for her on the show too but they wrote him kind of wimpy, always getting the *beep* knocked out of him. He should've been stronger.
sharei did like seeing Jake punch and then push\throw Adam down in there short fight

I too just finished watching the series. I was not aware there was a book and will now read it. How different is the book from the tv show.
The books focus on Cassie and her arrival and initiation into the circle as well as her feelings for Adam and the circle's fight against Black John. Sounds a lot like the show, but there are more characters and most of them are different - for instance, the Cassie in the books isn't nearly as strong as the Cassie in the series. Jake doesn't exist in the books. It's set on the opposite side of the country, etc.
If you can get your hands on them, I would recommend reading them.
Washington (or wherever this was filmed in reality) is simply stunning and beautiful, but I *love* the old-timey classic feel of New England towns, I felt if the show should have left one change alone it was the setting, but then again at least we got to see lots of beautiful green trees and Chance Harbor resembles some New England towns somewhat.
Also I thought it was a smart move to make Black John Cassie's father, as it makes the story a lot more personal. Also Cassie in the books is a little annoying.

"Betty's voice brought darkness to the land." - Amanda Tanen
I think it was filmed in British Columbia which is near Washington with similar scenery. Although I'm the same, I LOVE New England towns ^-^ but I do like 'Chance Harbour' so I don't know what I'd prefer.

I wish they hadn't killed so many characters off in the first season! Especially her grandmother, I loved her!
Were you planning on killing a bunch of people tomorrow? Oh, it's for the yearbook - Cordelia Chase
I know this is a very old post, but the show was, indeed, filmed in BC. My husband and I just went there for our honeymoon. It's absolutely stunning. We went to Howe Bay in Porteau Cove, and it looks just like the Secret Circle. The misty mountains in the middle of Howe Bay are magical.
They also filmed a lot of exteriors for Twilight, there.
Beautiful, stunning place.
one thing i really liked because it brought out Diana,s humor is when her and Melissa got high on Devils spirit. they were hilarious

How, I don't know, curious(?) was it that at the start of the series you had Diana trying to get Cassie, who wanted nothing to do with it, into The Circle. Then by the last few episodes of the series it was Diana wanting to break away from The Circle and Cassie trying to convince HER that she still had to be a part of it. How much characters and situations turned around during the show's first season run!
shareYes i just finished it god those last few episodes really intrigued me.
Lose the Game!!!!!!!
Somehow I doubt that. I think they said it was pricey and with the ratings, the investment just wasn't worth the return.
Save the date: December 31, 2014 is Cassie's big day!!!
