Saddest Death?

I would have to say Declan. Didn't see it coming, felt like a punch in the gut. He died all alone in that hospital and Jack wasn't even there with him (except for Nolan, but they weren't super close). The other characters barely even brought him up afterwards, either.

Second saddest death would be Daniel, maybe followed by Fauxmanda or something.

Aiden - I feel like he should've seen something like that coming, fought harder, etc. It was just too easy IMO.

reply

Daniel, Conrad and Victoria. They may have been the bad guys but they were vastly more interesting than Aiden, Declan or even Emily herself. The show suffered hugely from the absence of Conrad in season 4 IMO, he was such an entertaining villain and Henry Czerny brought so much gravitas to the show. I still don't think that Emily deserved to survive if Victoria didn't, in the end they both ended up being as bad as each other. And the saddest death of all for me was Daniel. He'd finally turned a corner and he genuinely wanted to better himself and break out from the Grayson curse. He had a girlfriend waiting for him and he was going to be a father and it all cruelly got snatched away at the last minute.

I agree that the show definitely suffered from the loss of Conrad! I realized just how much I'd taken him for granted as a viewer when Season 4 started.

reply

Yes, Daniel! Sad as hell! And Daniel Jr. was sad too!

reply

It was hands down for me Sammy. He was such a good and loyal dog.

reply

Sammy's death was sad - I think any pet's death is always sad. Plus he knew truth about Emily before anybody else.

reply

1. Sammy (I have never cried so much over a dog's death on any tv show or movie)

2. Conrad

3. Declan

4. Real Emily/Fake Amanda

5. Daniel

I think that's the episode I'm on now and I'm going to be a basketcase! I almost want to skip the episode altogether. Seriously lol. I hate seeing pets die in tv or movies. I feel it doesn't need to happen. The show could go on without it. Even let it happen, and just mention it, but not show it. I realize it has an impact on the show where the jack/amanda/Emily plot is concerned.

Aiden

Emily. By far.

WALKING DEAD IS SO DEAD WITHOUT ANDREA!

reply

Although I absolutely hated Aiden, I'd say his death. Just that he was paralysed and died from asphyxiation. Has to be a terrible way to go

reply

this is a toughee. I didn't really care for Pascal, but I felt bad for Victoria after his death. that only went as far as Aiden's death though. I thought he was really likable and was sad to see him go. Declan's death was sad too, but I feel like not seeing Charlotte's reaction didn't give us the full effect. Amanda's did give us the full effect and that worked. David we believed was dead most of the series and while his death in the end worked and was sad, we knew it was coming as he had an incurable illness. Padma's was sad too and Daniel's was sad, but the disgrace he had after it when everyone believed he tried to kill Emily was sort of deserved as he never really faced repercussions for sterilizing her. Ben was a good guy, but a little too annoying for me to feel much after he was killed.

reply

I cried like a baby when Daniel died. It was sort of the death of the Revenge I loved. It was never the same for me after that.

reply

Declan and Sammy, so sad! I wasn't a Daniel fan, but did not want him to die. Conrad was a needed villain and brought a ton to the show.
