I loved it too, but mostly because of the great music! I am so going to get the CD.
Sadly for the first time in my movie going life, I could understand hardly a word of their local speech. I've never had this before with any UK films/TV shows, in which they use the local way of speaking and would have wished for subtitles (something I used to scoff at when reading about UK films that have been known to be subtitled because of this). I would have been able to appreciate the movie much more then.
I can appreciate the authenticity of the era and scene the director wanted to capture and the glorious SOUL music.
If anything it made me get all my Edwin Starr CDs & LPs out and have an Edwin Starr "Mr. Double O Soul" day at home. Off I go to dance my 25 Miles!
