S2 E13 ending

What kind of season finale was that? Lame. Seemed more like an episode cliffhanger than a season cliffhanger. Two thumbs down, very disappointed.

Theres an after show that discusses the ending... Why Bryce only got 3 months, etc.. I liked the first season better, to be honest, and yes its a cliff hanger with the obvious scenario for season 3

No, that I understood. I meant the ending with the school dance. I just sat there waiting for the next episode to pop up and nada. Just seemed like an odd place to end it. Like, it seemed like a better place to end it would have been him prepping in his room or pulling up to the school S3 picking up there.

I liked S1 better too, but I liked how S2 showed how suicide affects those left behind because - from my own experience only -
it was tunnel vision on just wanting the pain to stop and unintentionally forgetting how it will impact everyone from the people who love you right down to the person who finds you - that includes the first responders that comes after the 911
calls. Knowing some Fire Fighters, they don’t just leave that stuff at the fire hall. I also had a friend who works for the railroad and he told me a story about a cow on the tracks once and there wasn’t much he could do to save the cow, which led to a story of another conductor who had a guy committed suicide by laying on the tracks and he couldn’t stop the train in time and it really messed the conductor up. So that’s why I think S2 did a good job showinw the after math of it.

Just the way the season ended with the school dance just ended at such an odd place. I get why S1 was only 13 episodes, but S2 can move past that 13 episode format.

Totally agree with you and also feel they dealt with the people left behind successfully. I am so sorry about your own experience. I, too, had a very much loved friend take his life, and I still am haunted by it. He was so wonderful, and I have helped hm in the past with some issues, but he never reached out to me during his final days. I wish he would have. I would have done anything for him.
Season three will deal with Tyler and the attempted school shooting. And possibly Tony's aiding him to flee the scene. I assume Hannah will no longer be part of the story. I think they should let her rest in peace personally, at this point.

Life is tough, thats for sure. Kids in school feel so much pressure, especially in current times. Its so sad. I wish there was more love, and less anger. We can always hope.

Yeah I think Hannah's part of the story is done and I appreciated it that they didn't have her appear any more after the memorial service. And also how everyone's lives are still a mess. Tyler still fell through the cracks in the latest school policy, but a lot of the kids in the story learned about friendship. They are able to recognize when one of them is troubled and try to be there for each other, but the world is always gonna keep testing them.
