These people are an American embarrassment.

These people are so disgusting and exemplify everything that the whole world hates about America. Feeling a sense of accomplishment for OVER-SHOPPING?? Why the hell are you buying 10 boxes of cereal when you already have 100 boxes at home? Why are you teaching your kids how to hoard? Consume the sh!t you have before you start hoarding you goddam pigs.

I basically share your feelings, jack. Except that I'd have no problem at all with these people buying all that stuff *IF* they were donating it to needy people. It's great that they have the time, energy, and skill to buy thousands of dollars worth of products for little to no money. What I CANNOT STAND is seeing their beloved "stockpiles." Shelf after shelf of stuff their families can't POSSIBLY use up before it goes bad. Why on earth don't they donate all the excess to food pantries, animal shelters, abused women's shelters, soup kitchens, etc. They could still have the high this hobby obviously provides them, but they'd get the ADDED high of doing something good with their hobby.

I was thinking the exact same thing. They could easily donate half of what they have and it would make no difference to them, but could make a huge difference to someone else. It's sickening to watch them pile up things like first aid kits or fifty bottles of laundry detergent.

reply

Agreed about the donating. I'm a teacher in a school with over 50% poverty students. We feed our students breakfast, lunch, dinner, and send care packages home on the weekends because these families have no food.

The people on this show who buy excessively and hoard so much food make me absolutely sick. They need to start thinking of others and stop being so unbelievably selfish.

I know. While they're admiring their stockpile that includes hundreds of packages of detergent, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, etc., people who can't afford those necessities are going without. Since they know they can replicate their acquisitions later, why not donate? I just don't get it.

In all fairness, there have been a few people on the show who did donate their hauls, but they're the exception and not the rule.

I completely agree. I get stocking up on things that don't go bad, like toilet paper and razors. But who needs 100 boxes of cookies??? Donate that stuff before it goes bad. Buying and keeping stuff that you can't possibly use is hoarding, in my opinion. I saw an episode like this where the woman was buying a ton of makeup on sale and got like 20 lipsticks and took their whole stock and didn't even care about the colors. WHY? This is simply hoarding.

Most of these inbreds are from hicksville USA and not from big cities.

I agree. These are the kind of people that make Americans look bad, excessive, selfish, gluttonous. Granted this is just a small portion of people, I personally don't know anyone that does this. Unfortunately this is what sticks in other countries heads when they think of America.

I think having a stockpile of stuff like soaps and laundry detergents and toilet papers and cat litter.. you know, stuff that runs out all the time, is a good idea... but food, I prefer items that are fresh and not the processed boxed crap these people hoard.

I think the people who hoard a lot of condiments have Barbecues sometimes or give some of the mustard and other sauces to neighbors who do or cook/bake and serve snacks, food and drinks at parties. In some states and cities that have Storms,Blizzards other Natural Disasters,Power outages that last for days, droughts, water shortages and other things ,it makes sense for people to Extreme Coupon and hoard/stockpile items and processed food.Pregnant women might not want to shop or leave the house for a long time after giving birth,so they should stock up on things before.

reply

Oh my god, stop with the natural disasters, we get it lol. You keep making the same excuses for these people over and over.

Sorry, I find it pointless to post basically the same comment over and over again in half a dozen threads, especially when the comment is barely coherent.

I'm annoyed that these people will go to the store and clear shelves of the entire product because they can get it for free. Screw everyone else who may want it or need it.

So they hit the store as soon as they sale starts, clean out the product, and the store is likely out of it for the entire week until the next shipment comes.

Who cares what the world thinks about America? Most of the free world is free because Americans fought and died for their freedoms in numerous wars. If America is so bad, why do people from all over the world come here or want to come here?
