How does that work?


I'll watch the show and while they're shopping when the put the price of items on screen they say example: ketchup is on sale 2 for $4 and they have a coupon for a dollar off making each a dollar. (An example I made up) so they pick up 30 bottle. At the end their total is $5. If they already have the sales applied in computer and after the coupons their total should be at least $30. Sorry I was a cashier for a few years and this came up at my store. Lady even referenced that she saw it on the show. Lol

That's an interesting question. Super late answer but I believe what they do is use overages to get rid of the $30 price. So they'll buy something else that gives them money back and use that money. That's why everything is so calculated because if you don't get your overages for these items, you may not be able to buy these other items
