Do Retailers Get Any Kickbacks From The Show?

I'm curious to know if those retailers who are featured on this show
receive any kickbacks/compensation for agreeing to be shown on
camera? Of course the stores get lots of exposure which amounts to
good advertising though do the stores get rewarded by the show's
producers for being featured?

The store people who have speaking lines probably get a check for "scale." I would doubt the store gets anything for allowing a small camera setup near the checkout.

I'm not sure the "exposure" they --stores-- get is worth much.

Small timers maybe, big stores get a nice headache

They probably get all the money, the difference to what the customer, featured, did not pay.

Most of the stores probably do not get exposure, considering that I have still yet to see a store name featured. They always cover up the store name. The only episode, I have seen, is the one with the twins. It had a product placement for the business they had their free ice cream at, Dunkin Donuts.
